Mission Statement

The following is lifted from the bylaws of True Life Christian Fellowhip:

Our Articles of Incorporation state, “The specific purposes of this corporation are to facilitate and encourage the growth of Christians and to spread the knowledge of Jesus Christ to non-Christians.” In this light, and in keeping with God’s design for churches and with God’s leading in our “Seeking God’s Will for our Church” gatherings, True Life Christian Fellowship is formed to...

a. ...follow the Biblical pattern of teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer found in Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine [teaching] and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

b. ...be obedient in continued fellowship and exhorting as commanded in Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

c. ...support one another in the body as commanded in both Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith and Acts 11:27-30 And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

d. ...equip the saints to grow to maturity and ministry as found in Ephesians 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ

e. ...minister the complete sufficiency of Christ to those in spiritual need (Christian and non-Christian alike) as described in 2 Peter 1:3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue

f. ...strengthen, encourage, equip, and support individuals in carrying out Christ’s command found in both Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;...” and Luke 24:47 “and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations..."

g. ...worship the Lord (the one true God) in accordance with both 1 Chronicles 16:29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! and John 4:23–24 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

h. ...reach out, as God directs, in a tangible way to others as unto Christ Himself, without sight to how society might accept or reject them in accordance with James 1:27a Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble..., James 2:15-17 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead., and Matthew 25:34-40 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ ”
