In Psalms 19:1 David wrote, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork." I encourage you to spend some time browsing these images from the Hubble Space Telescope. When we gaze into space it truly does declare the majesty and handiwork and glory of the One who formed it with a thought and a word. When you realize the scope and wonder of space it becomes even more awesome and amazing that we are precious to Him on an individual basis! Come to the King's Castle! In early August we hosted a Vacation Bible Adventure at the church for local children, grades 1 - 5. Almost 30 people from the church participated in making the week happen, either in preparation or during the week. There were no less then 23 children there a day, plus youth helpers, with 30 children total taking part in the week at one point or another. The children learned that they can be children of the King, and that when their dad is the king that makes them princes and princes; that nothing can separate them from the love of their Father in heaven; that their Father cares for them; that their Father does not lie and they can trust His promises and Word; and that they can live in faith in their Father...drawing their hope, courage, choices, and expectations from the unseen and not the seen. It was a wonderful week which included VeggieTales movies, a life-size cut out of Goliath, and blowing an Jewish Shofar trumpet like the kind used in battles and festivals. There was music, crafts, stories, memory verses, games, and lots of love! Once a child of God, always a child of God!

In early January, 2007, 11 youth and 3 counselors went to Hume Lake Christian Camp in the Sierras for 4 days and 3 nights of God-filled fun, teaching, and worship. God did a mighty work among us up there. Enjoy these photos from our trip, taken from Erick's camera, Rick's camera (taken by him and whoever he loaned it to), and the Hume Lake photographer off of their camp CD. There are 99 photos here---too many to caption---but they include broom hockey, tubing, other recreation, the beautiful snow scenes that came on Friday and Saturday after it snowed on us Thursday afternoon and evening, and many "people" shots of our youth and counselors.

In the middle of March the True Life Youth Group headed to Hume Lake Christian Camp in the Sierras (King's Canyon). Erick and Mary Ann Reinstedt, Ruben Cortez, and Carla Martinez took 14 middle-schoolers on the trip and though we had no natural snow, the youth still had a wonderful time on man-made snowboard and tube runs, ice skating, ping pong, and foos ball, and were powerfully affected by the worship by Moi and teaching by Chris Simning in chapel. In January, 2008, Erick & Mary Ann Reinstedt, along with Dave Landon and Carolyn Lingor, took 13 High Schoolers to Hume Lake Christian Camps. We got poured on the first day and then woke the second day to a winter wonderland! Enjoy the trip with us through these photos. See us at play, doing the new Boxsled Blitz (go Megans x2 and all the girls who built it!), winning the Broom Hockey Kurth Cup (go boys! we are proud of you!), and just being blessed as God drew us close to each other and to Him.

On December 20th, 2007 the True Life Youth Group had its Christmas Party at the church which included great food, lots of laughter, the famous "unwrapping the present" game, and a movie. Thanks, Cherie, for putting so much of this together. Enjoy, all, the pictures from the evening.

On December 10, 2006 the Reinstedts hosted an Open House for the fellowship and their families at their home in Bryson. About 50 people enjoyed the fellowship and food. These pictures show some slices of that wonderful time of fellowship and love, as well as a few glimpses of the preparation before the day. God blessed the event and answered prayer as He parted the skies and cleared them of rain about 40 minutes before it started---just in time to put up signs. Thanks for everything, Lord. Enjoy all!

Our church tree was a beautiful one, and the cutting of it and the decorating of the church was a wonderful time. Thanks to all who came out to help set the church up to celebrate Christ's birth! The pictures don't capture all who were there, but they will give you a glimpse of the fun and fellowship we had that night.

One Friday night in December, 2008, we enjoyed an evening soup and cornbread potluck, followed by decorating the church and church tree for Christmas and then a reading from "The Legend of the Candy Cane" around the tree. It was a wonderful evening!
